Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford sends Nicolas Otamendi back to Argentina with this brilliant flick
We all know Marcus Rashford is a great goalscorer, but he’s getting the knack of this playing out wide thing for Manchester United this season.
The 19-year-old has developed well under Jose Mourinho, and looks a more complete footballer with added trickery and skill to his game this term.
Manchester City’s Nicolas Otamendi may be something of an easy target, but Rashford took the opportunity to show off his best footwork with a brilliant flick over the Argentine in the first half of today’s derby at the Etihad Stadium.
Collecting an awkward ball on the right-hand side, Rashford chested it down before flicking it behind him with his heel, and using his pace to beat Otamendi and catch up with his own pass.
What a talent the England forward is, and it’s he who’s looked as likely as anyone to open tonight’s game up.
